Yogoda Satsanga Sarovar Sadhanalaya
- Khanapur Retreat is situated on the outskirts of Pune city.
- Geographically, it is at the 12th Kilometer milestone to Panshet Dam (which is a well-known tourist destination in this area).
- One approaches this area by first arriving at the Khadakwasla dam area. (National Defense Academy N.D.A. is also an important landmark near the Khadakwasla Dam).
- After the Khadakwasla Dam, there is only one road that goes towards Panshet and is called Panshet Road.
- On the way to retreat center, you shall witness these landmarks:
- Defense institute of Advanced technology. (1 km after the first view of lake).
- Donje Phata (base camp for Singhad mountain climbing; here you take the right turn while the road straight goes towards the mountain).
- Khanapur village
- Shantivan resort (1.5 KM after khanapur village)
- From Shantivan, the retreat is about 1.5 km and comes on the right side. On the other side of the road is a palatial property called Nand Mahel. Both retreat and this property are well-known in this area.
- Devotees travelling by train to Pune are required to take auto-rickshaw from Pune Station to Swargate where state transport buses can be conveniently found for the retreat. (Khanapur Retreat is approximately 30 kms from Pune Station.)
- One may also engage a private Taxi but some cab drivers experience difficulty beyond Donje Phata to do the last 3 Km of journey. However, by using the landmarks stated above, one can easily locate the Retreat.
